Are you spending more and more time looking for misplaced items? Do you walk into a room and wonder why you went there? Find socks in the refrigerator? Ever gone to the grocery store only to discover that you were actually on the road to your office? Chances are that you were in a lite state of hypnosis.
I have lost untold pairs of sunglasses, keys and once even an entire bag of groceries. I’ve lost so many items that I have P-Touched almost everything I own with my name, number and a promise of a reward if found.
Hypnosis is that state of awareness somewhere between wide awake and deep sleep. All people operate there sometimes and some people operate there all the time. In this state you can physically function, but obviously not well because you are not concentrating on what you are doing.
So how can hypnotherapy help? The first thing a good hypnotherapist will do is refer you to a medical doctor to rule out any possible physical condition. Once you are given a clean bill of health, they find out why this is happening to you. They will de-hypnotise you to bring you to a high level of conscious awareness, re-hypnotise you and suggest you remain focused and alert in your awake state and then bring you back out of state. Finally, they will show you how to snap out of any relapse.
Everyone’s brain ages but not everyone loses their memory.
